Why Dive Casa Cenote?
Casa Cenote — also known as Cenote Manatee — is one of our favorite dive sites near Tulum, and one of the best places in the world to try scuba diving for the first time.
Connected to the Nohoch Nah Chich underground cave system and the Caribbean Ocean, this open-air cenote combines freshwater and saltwater in a shallow, mangrove-lined setting. The result is a cenote that feels alive — part jungle, part freshwater, part Caribbean Sea.
You'll see mangrove roots reaching into the water from above, tarpon gliding in schools below the surface, eels tucked into crevices, blue crabs on the sandy bottom, and occasionally a turtle passing through from the sea. The visibility on most days exceeds 20 meters — everything is sharp, clear, and beautifully lit from above.
It's calm, it's safe, and it's genuinely one of the most beautiful places we know.
Casa Cenote + Reef Diving Option
You also have the option to add one reef dive after your Casa Cenote experience.
This combination gives you two completely different underwater worlds in one day: the calm freshwater environment of Casa Cenote and the colorful marine life of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef.
1 dive in Casa Cenote: $2,400 MXN
2 dives, Casa Cenote + Reef: $3,900 MXN
This is a great option if you want a fuller diving day and feel comfortable after your first cenote dive.
