What You’ll Learn During the Course
① Theory — PADI eLearning (before you arrive):
Complete the knowledge development section online at home before your trip. This saves you classroom time in Tulum and means more time in the water. We'll send you access after booking.
Your first day starts at Casa Cenote, a calm, shallow, open-air cenote surrounded by mangroves. Your instructor guides you through the fundamental scuba skills at a relaxed pace.
② Confined Water Dives — Day 1:
③ Open Water Dives — Days 2 & 3:
You'll complete 4 open water dives on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef — the second largest reef system in the world — right off the coast of Tulum Beach.
After completing all requirements, your PADI Open Water certification is processed digitally. It arrives within 24–48 hours and is valid worldwide, forever.
④ Certification
Why Learn to Dive in Tulum?
Tulum is one of the few places on Earth where you can get your PADI certification in two completely different underwater worlds — the Caribbean Sea and the freshwater cenotes of the Yucatán — all in the same course.
Water temperature stays between 24°C and 28°C year-round. Visibility exceeds 30 meters. No cold, no poor conditions, no wasted days. Just ideal learning conditions and scenery most scuba divers only dream about.
